The Payments Association faced a formidable challenge: the need to reclassify their extensive database of 20,000 companies on HubSpot CRM by industry. The manual process was not only time-consuming but also prone to inaccuracies, affecting their marketing initiatives.
The goal was straightforward: automate the classification process to save time and enhance data quality. This, in turn, would enable more effective and targeted marketing campaigns.
Leveraging the capabilities of OpenAI, DCS Digital developed an innovative workflow.
The system autonomously connected to HubSpot CRM and fetched company data. It then navigated to each company’s ‘About Us’ webpage to scrape relevant content. This data is passed through OpenAI’s ChatGPT model for automatic classification based on pre-determined industry categories supplied by the client. Once categorised, the updated information is saved back into HubSpot CRM.
The implementation of this automation has not only solved the immediate problem but also opened doors for automating company categorisation using AI in the future. The Payments Association is now positioned to continue to save time, increase accuracy and see a return from their initial investment.
